reblogged from herbivoreblues:

Yesterday I went to the World Vegan Day festival at Melbourne showgrounds, and I ate my body weight in food let me tell you.

so it was really busy, and very squished, but as i read the organisers were blown away with the attendance this year and will account for that next time, still had such a great day, I was too busy eating it to post a photo but I believe I have eaten the best cinnamon bun in the world from Mister Nice Guys bakery, that is where this gem of a cupcake is from as well ^

and the gelati is mango tango, and blood orange, before the whole thing fell into my other hand, making an awkward mess.. it was delicious. I really wish I took photo’s, and went a lot earlier than I did because I missed out on a showbag and a lot of the talks/cooking demo’s, but i’m a million times more excited for next years event! was truly  blown away by all the support and sponsors, and the crowd that turned up!

Vegan gelati! I assume that’s plural for gelato? Who knows! What cares? There’s gelato on the table, yo!

I only found out that Gelato Blue in Newtown has a large selection of vegan gelati. We tried six flavours today:
Tub 1: blood orange, fig and rockmelonTub 2: chocolate, coconut and cherry ripe
Highly recommended :)

One of everything please!
